Snake food Wholesale At Strictly

Buying snake food wholesale doesn’t have to be a headache if you buy from the people who know snakes and other reptiles better than anyone. Strictly Reptiles is not only you one stop shop for all the equipment you’ll need to take care of your slithery companions, but we also carry some incredible animals, from frogs, to crocodilians, and even some arachnids and mammals! The possibilities are endless and can benefit any enthusiast, zoo owner, or breeder. The convenience of snake food wholesale means less trips to the store and more time to dedicate to being a great snake owner.

When it comes to feeding your snake, we carry an array of different-sized frozen rodents (or “frodents”), but sometimes snake owners find it difficult to feed their snake food that isn’t still alive,so we have some tips to share if you encounter any of these problems.

You can use feeding forceps as opposed to your hands to present the frozen rodent to your snake. This way you can keep a safe distance and keep your snake from associating your hand with food, something you will thank your past self for when your snake doesn’t try to bite you when you take it out of its enclosure. You can even try to enhance the smell of the feed by dipping the thawed prey in sodium-free chicken broth. This might make it appeal to the snake more and encourage it to strike.

Funnily enough, if you have tried a white mouse once but had no success, see if there’s a different colored mouse to try and have your snake try those. Same goes gor prey of a different size, they might have a preference of something larger or smaller than you have tried with them. If your snake has a favorite, and you need to make it get used to something new, you can start familiarizing the new prey to your snake by rubbing the new feed with the snake’s favorite food. This could trick them by associating the new feed with a familiar scent they already know.

You can move the snake to a separate enclosure that is just for feeding, as well. Giving your snake a quiet and private space to feed might make them more comfortable. In fact, you should cover the tank with a towel and feed them at night. Keep your snake warm as the cold will make it so that their metabolism slows down.

When it comes to offering snake food wholesale, Strictly Reptiles Inc has great variety and selection.
