Just in time for baby turtle season: Peninsula Cooters are back in stock! This attractive, hard-shelled turtle is primarily found in the southeastern United States. They are a green turtle that have a black-brown shell, and they have beautiful, yellow details on their face and shell. And as freshly hatched babies, you can truly see the beauty in their newborn, patterned shells.

Cooters do well in a filtered aquarium or clean backyard ponds. These beautiful turtles love to swim and bask, so be sure to provide a tank large enough for them to swim and a space for them to get out of the water. Provide decorations of water plants and this will provide cover to make the animal feel safe and secure. And with a great appetite, the babies will readily eat turtle chow, shrimp, and insects. As they mature, they can be fed leafy greens for a more herbivorous diet.
