- Gold Tegu – The Gold Tegu is an exotic lizard meant for advanced level caretakers. It has formidable jaws, sharp dagger-like teeth, and is a ferocious predator. It ranges from 1.5 – 3 feet in length and is native to the region of Northern South America. Lifespan: 12 – 20 years in captivity
- Peter’s Banded Skink – The Peter’s Banded Skink looks like a giant sandfish that never stopped growing. It is a newer species to the exotic lizard market and makes for a very calm pet. It is native to the grasslands in Northern Africa and grows 8 – 10.5 inches. Lifespan: 15 – 20 years (rough estimation due to lack of data)
- Flying Gecko – The Flying Gecko is a natural at hide and seek and loves to climb and hide in branches. It only grows about 4 – 7 inches and is native to the wet forests of Southeastern Asia. Lifespan: 5 – 8 years (in captivity)
- Cameroon Dwarf Gecko – The smaller Cameroon Dwarf Gecko is an expert climber and has unique fins on its limbs, including its tail. It is most commonly found in tropical and subtropical areas of Africa and Madagascar. Full grown, this gecko is just 1 to 4.5 inches in size and is often distinguished by its throat coloration. Lifespan: 5-10 years (in captivity)
- Panther Chameleon – The well known Veiled Chameleon has some of the most brilliant color patterns among all exotic lizards. The colors are unique to its native lands, which is almost exclusively in Madagascar. Males can grow as big as 17 inches while females are more often only 9 – 13 inches in size. Lifespan: 3 – 5+ years (in captivity)
- Frilled Dragon – The Frilled Dragon is a large exotic lizard native to Australia and its nearby islands. It lives mostly in the trees and is most well known for its giant fold of skin that comes out when it feels threatened. Lifespan: 10 – 20 years (in captivity)
