Reptile Pets Wholesale Online

Reptiles of all kinds can make for some very interesting companions, and finding somewhere that does reptile pets wholesale is not as rare as you might think. Strictly Reptiles, Inc is your one-stop shop for buying not just reptiles, but also amphibians, arachnids, and even some mammals! Many people are used to caring for cats, dogs, hamsters, and fish, but there are many resources online on how to care for reptiles. It might seem daunting at first, but once you read up on how to properly care for a new animal, you can open up to reptile pets wholesale options.

Strictly Reptiles Inc has many different kinds of reptiles, some of which might be beginner friendly, such as some snakes can be cared for quite easily if you do the right research. Although, other animals might be best left to professionals or those whose jobs revolve around the caring and preserving of certain reptiles. For example, iguanids are not the easiest to care for as they have many dietary and environmental needs to be considered.

For example, they’re far from being as domesticated as your common dog or house cat. Many will try to escape their enclosures, and in order for them to be comfortable with humans and their environment, they should held routinely to tame them. They have to be treated with care, since they have sharp claws and can really do some harm with their tail. It’s strong enough to break human bone!

They can grow up to 7 feet long (tail included), and they generally weigh around 20 pounds. Therefore, an aquarium or a small reptile enclosure is a very short-lived home for a young iguana. The iguana needs a temperature around 85 degrees Fahrenheit to properly digest its food, and they need at least 70% humidity in their environment.

In the wild, iguanas are strict herbivores. Diets high in protein can cause health issues, such as kidney failure, so what’s recommended is giving them a quality pelleted commercial diet, and provide your iguana with dark leafy greens, some fruit, and a calcium supplement. And of course, iguanas will additionally need fresh water available at all times.

At Strictly Reptiles, we want everyone to love and appreciate these animals as much as we do, so if you’re looking for reptile pets wholesale needs, we carry all sorts of iguanids such as caramel albino iguanas, blue iguanas, wall lalcerta, brown anole, brown basilisk, and green iguanas to name a few.
